On focus during the Art Basel Paris Week
On 19 October at Château Voltaire during Art Basel Paris week, Metarenaissance — a cultural movement founded by artist Yana Germann in 2021 — reimagines the European Salon tradition for the post-digital age.
The first Metarenaissance Salon is produced collaboratively by the Metarenaissance team, bringing together Nicolas Bourriaud, Auronda Scalera, Elie Khouri, Vadim Krutov (Bitfury), Adnan Hassan, Sébastien Borget (The Sandbox), Yana Germann and other leading voices across art, curating, patronage and technology.Rather than a conventional panel, the private filmed gathering centres on one question: Who Builds the Human After Simulation? — exploring how culture can actively shape human agency, meaning and collective life as AI, automation and simulation transform society.
