FRIEZE LONDON 2026: WHERE ART, COLOUR AND IDENTITY MEET

By RepoStage

At Frieze London 2026, contemporary art takes centre stage through a dynamic dialogue between colour, materiality and identity. Among the presentations to discover, Galerie Poggi brings together established and emerging perspectives, offering an encounter between artistic experimentation and historical reflection.

The gallery’s presentation opens with new paintings and sculptures by French artist Vincent Beaurin, whose exploration of colour transforms the viewing experience into something both sensory and contemplative. His works invite audiences to consider how colour shapes our psychological and physical perception of space.

A second chapter brings together Canadian artists Kapwani Kiwanga and Manuel Mathieu, two internationally recognised voices whose practices explore distinct artistic and cultural perspectives. Their presentation reflects the growing international visibility of both artists, following their respective appearances at the Venice Biennale.

The exhibition concludes with a tribute to Darío Villalba (1939–2018), a pivotal figure in post-war Spanish art. Combining photography and painting, his work addresses the representation of marginalised bodies and identities, offering a powerful reflection on visibility and human experience.

Moving between contemporary experimentation and historical significance, Galerie Poggi’s presentation captures the spirit of Frieze: a meeting point for artists, collectors and ideas shaping the future of the international art scene.
