AI Evening 2026 at the Grand Rex: Cinema, Design and Artificial Intelligence at the Heart of the Debate

By elen7777

On November 14, 2026, AI Evening by Motion Plus Design will bring together ten speakers at the Grand Rex in Paris for an evening of talks exploring the transformations driven by artificial intelligence. Filmmaker Nicolas Saada, designer Étienne Mineur, content creator Ninon IA and science communicator Christophe Pauly will offer four complementary perspectives on the challenges of this technological revolution. Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we create, produce images and understand the digital world. To gain a deeper understanding of these changes, AI Evening by Motion Plus Design will bring together leading figures from cinema, design, science, economics and entrepreneurship for an evening of discussion and exchange.

Following its first edition in 2025, which focused on AI-powered creativity, this new event broadens the debate to explore the cultural, social and economic implications of the technology.

Nicolas Saada: Cinema and AI — Who Is Really Creating the Images?

Filmmaker and screenwriter, Nicolas Saada has also worked as a film critic for Cahiers du cinéma and as a radio host on Radio Nova. His career reflects a strong interest in cinematic language, contemporary narratives and the mechanisms behind images. His directing credits include Espions, Taj Mahal and Le Facteur humain, films that explore the tensions of the contemporary world through distinctive storytelling.

At AI Evening, he will present a talk entitled “Cinema and AI: Who Is Really Creating the Images?” At a time when artificial intelligence tools can generate images and video sequences, this question has taken on particular significance for the film industry. His presentation will examine the role of the director, the importance of artistic intention and how creative practices are evolving in response to these new technological possibilities.

Étienne Mineur: A New Form of Digital Craftsmanship for Creatives

Designer, publisher and educator, Étienne Mineur has spent many years exploring the connections between graphic design, interactivity, physical objects and digital technologies. As co-founder of Éditions Volumiques, he develops projects that challenge the traditional boundaries of design by bringing together paper, games and digital experiences. His work reflects an ongoing exploration of new forms of experimentation and the evolving tools available to creative professionals.

His talk, “Vibe Coding: The New Digital Craftsmanship for Creatives,” will focus on a practice that enables people to design applications and digital experiences using natural-language instructions and artificial intelligence tools. This approach opens up new possibilities for designers and artists by making prototyping and experimentation more accessible. It also invites us to rethink the relationship between ideas, technical expertise and the creative process. https://etienne.design/

Ninon IA: Authenticity in the Age of Deepfakes

A former product designer, Ninon Bajard spent ten years working in technology and user experience before turning to AI education and public communication under the name Ninon IA. Through her educational content, she explores the uses of these technologies, their limitations and their impact on society, making increasingly relevant topics accessible to a broad audience.

Her talk, “Beyond Deepfakes: The Crisis — and Renaissance — of Authenticity,” will address the challenges posed by the growing volume of synthetic images and content. As generative tools make it possible to create increasingly realistic representations, distinguishing authentic images from fabricated ones has become a major issue. Her presentation will invite audiences to reconsider their relationship with truth, trust and critical thinking in a rapidly changing digital environment. https://www.instagram.com/ninon.ia_officiel/

Christophe Pauly: How Can We Control an Intelligence More Intelligent Than Us?

Video creator and science communicator, Christophe Pauly makes complex scientific questions accessible through narrative and documentary formats, particularly those exploring space and physics. He also interviews researchers to share complex knowledge with a wider audience and encourage curiosity about scientific discoveries.

At AI Evening, he will present “How Can We Control an Intelligence More Intelligent Than Us?”, a talk examining the challenges of keeping artificial intelligence systems under control. As their capabilities advance, the question of control becomes increasingly urgent: how can we anticipate their behaviour, establish boundaries and preserve human decision-making? His presentation will explore the potential risks associated with increasingly powerful systems, while opening up a broader discussion about the scientific and collective responsibilities that accompany this technological evolution. https://www.youtube.com/@Christophe_Pauly https://christophepauly.fr/

Ten Speakers, A Range of Perspectives

Alongside these four speakers, six other experts will broaden the discussion. Axelle Arquié, an economist specialising in the labour market, will analyse AI’s impact on employment. Olivier Reynaud, co-founder of Aive, will explore the potential of artificial intelligence in video creation and analysis. Stéphane Chung, head of teaching, research and development in digital imaging at INA, will examine how AI is transforming professions in the audiovisual industry. Nadia Guerouaou, a doctor of cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychologist, will explore the effects of AI on our emotions and our understanding of what it means to be human. Jean-Lou Fourquet, author and social entrepreneur, will consider the influence of algorithms on information and democracy. Finally, Shaïman Thürler, founder of the media outlet Le Futurologue, will address the existential risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence. Founded by Kook Ewo, Motion Plus Design is an international organisation dedicated to the artists and professionals shaping the future of motion design.

Through AI Evening, it continues its commitment to creativity by providing a space to reflect on a technology that is already transforming everyday life. Join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 8 p.m. at the Grand Rex in Paris for AI Evening by Motion Plus Design — an evening of talks and discussions exploring the many facets of artificial intelligence and inviting everyone to form their own opinion.
